Rebooting your Life

Okay, this was supposed to be uploaded a long time ago, but for some reason I chose to keep it in my drafts. But then last night something happened and I couldn't resist and share this one.
...............................................................................................................

"I can't believe I am unpacking all my stuff, I was so excited to go to shimla. Damn this college." I said with despair in my tone and with a hint of anger in it.
"Who the hell said college was fun?" Ipshita said in an even bitter tone. "We have zero campus culture, not a single cute guy, faculty that drives me crazy, compulsory courses and add to that the misery of wearing college uniform. Ughh I hate this place."

Now for those who do not know. Ipshita is one of the closest being I ever had to a sister. She is funny, ambitious, kind and all those good things, but most of all what I like about her is, life becomes a roller coaster ride when she is around.

"Why I am not surprised." I said half joking.
"Shut up, that was not funny. I am depressed.... And frustrated...Somewhat irritated too...and Blah blah blah." She said sulking.
"Know what? Let’s go for a walk." I said and I stood up to find my slippers.

She agreed as well but only after I promised her a sundae.
...................................................................................................................

"Let’s go out someplace this weekend na, I am sick of this place." I asked Ipshita.
"Well who is not. Let’s check noticeboard, we might find something interesting. Moreover lots of college festivals are going around this season." Ipshita answered and we continued forward towards the main notice board.
..................................................................................................................

"Look, here. A salsa workshop."  Ipshita said indicating towards a poster on the notice board looking excited.

"Sweet heart. I hope you do know Salsa requires partner unless of course you are willing to learn guys step for me." I said teasingly with a bit of sarcasm.
"Oh yes, partner. My life sucks eternally." She said.
"Well that makes two of us." was my immediate response.

After a couple of minutes she said "Excuse me, you do have a partner. I am not sure if you are thinking clearly."
"Haha, I am dying laughing on this one. We do not even hold hands and you are telling me to ask him for a salsa workshop. How brilliant of you." I said in a matter of fact tone.
"You know studies reveal that man like woman taking the initiative. Just saying you know......", and she shrugged in a typical cute girly manner, happy with herself for making an inside joke.
"And you do know your sundae is long lost forgotten story after this one." I said and gave her an ugly smile.
"acha acha sorry."
................................................................................................................................................

"Anyways let's see who is organizing." I said to change the topic.
"Some Aaryansh Aghnihotri. Nice name na. Look he has a vodafone too. " Ipshita pointed out.
"Hmm, yes its a good name." I nodded.

In that brief moment, we both knew what was going in our heads. And the next thing i know was we both were on a speaker call.
................................................................................................................................................

"Hey is this Aaryanh", I said.
"Yes speaking." was his response.
"Well I came across this notice for a salsa workshop, and I was wondering if I can register on the spot, because as of now I am not sure if I will be participating or not." I inquired.
"Yeah, Sure you can. May I please know from which college you are speaking." He questioned.

Now this was the question we weren't prepared for. So I ended the call in haste.  This was not the way we hoped for it to go. But after a couple of minutes cell phone vibrated again. It was a message from the same no. and we both lit up.
"Hey you did not mention me your college name." was the message he left.

And we quickly decided to go with Hansraj.

"Well me and my friend is from Hansraj, but the problem is my friend do not have a partner. " We texted back.
"That should not be a problem, there will be many without a partner i suppose" was his response to our text message.

"Actually the thing is my friend is pretty amazing, so you know. Why don't you go with her. You seem to be a nice guy to me."  We replied.
By now we were already rolling on the floor laughing.
.
.
.
And this went on for a long time. Poor guy, he thought he got lucky.
............................................................................................................................................

PS- I am going to miss our crazy times. It was technically our last semester together, and somehow things wont be the same ever after but I still wish to believe they will. From shouting in the corridors to spamming each other facebook wall. From juniors to seniors. From my 2 birthday's in May to your 3 birthday's in September. :P The way we order our food as if we haven't eaten from a month or so and end up saying... "bhaiya pack kerdo", and most of all how we never needed anyone to share our inside jokes.
And yes Plz Plz tel my future husband/bf to be as amazing shopping partner as you are. :D (just girly things)
And one story that i undoubtedly want to tell your kids is... " How I met your mother". Again.... how can you cry that much? :P

And to the rest who are still curious, we told the poor guy about our intents later and said sorry. He created a little fuss initially but apologized himself (perks of being a girl). We still have his number saved as "Never ever Pick up".

Calvin And Hobbes

Because

1) I am obsessed with Calvin.
2) In spite being a 6 year old, He talks about life more brilliantly than 99% people i know.
3) His arrogance is more on the cuter side.
4) I wont mind having kids like him (though they will b such a pain i m sure :P)
5) I have literally browsed half of the internet for the comic strip.
6) And most of all, Its getting kind of repetitive on facebook cover photos. :P

Here are my few absolute favorites.

1) Its only work when someone makes you do it.

  Explains a lot.

2) Ignorance is such a Biss.

If you can't sort it out, JUST IGNORE it. Maybe things will sort out themselves with time. :)

3) Incapacity to tell the difference.

Boy, I love your attitude. Be stubborn, be crazy. And don't ever let any one, not even yourself talk you into the idea of "Its not possible". Because it is very much possible.

4) If People sat outside and looked at the stars.

Seems True to me.

5) I Hate You.

Because we don't always mean what we say, and say what we mean.

6) Try Jumping.

Things will happen, once you will step out of your comfort zone.

7) You don't get to be a mom, if you can't fix everything just right.

Accept it, she has a solution to your every damn problem. And even if not, she can cheer you up and fill you up with new hopes while siting miles away :)

8) Killing the time.

This is what i hate about myself. I should be out there, enjoying life, exploring things and not siting here banging my head against walls.

9) I am going as a barrel of toxic waste.

To his sense of humor. SALUTE.

10) Everybody I know needs what i am selling.

Sarcasm at its best.

11) We Don't read about Dinosaurs.

Education system. Sigh.

12) I told you not to read this.

Hence, intelligence of male species proved. Hehe.

13) That's Life.

14) Expressing Individuality ?

Yeah we are all fools.

15) Its not Denial, I am just very selective about the reality i accept.

And The best of all

Hope you enjoyed reading them, as much as i enjoyed compiling them. :)

Tracking down, Final Year

Finally, after a long while i sit to write this one. (One of my favorite so far, a must try \m/)

Are you up for a little fun? With bits of insanity and some really crazy shit?

Let see, Do you often show symptoms of boredom from your mundane monotonous schedule? Most of the times you stay dull and doleful worrying about xyz factors..... You are depressed about GOD knows WHAT....And series of sentimental FACEBOOK STATUS follows on your profile ?

Cool that just tells, KITKAT break banta hai......

So here is the thing.
Firstly you need to observe and target some really nice, simple, socially inactive , and studious Final year student.
Once you are done with the first task, try to sketch out his schedule and habits.
And now the fun part begins. Follow him and make sudden appearances out of the blue. Throw curious looks and just when he notices, move away and pretend to involve in other activity. Make sure you act convincingly suspicious and mystery girl rather than flirtatious, otherwise things may go utterly wrong and he may seriously ask you out for a coffee :P
As the time continues to pass and sudden appearances are made again and again, pretend to turn more psyche as if you can see through him, sometimes occasionally giving a weird and strange stare. Involve your friends in the prank to give it a more realistic aura. Give him a serious feeling as if he is being followed or something is going strange or people are spying on him.

Stay aware of his friend circle and everything will go fine i assure ;) Better if you try in the last month of the sem, just in case things go wrong you have nothing to worry about. Slate will be wiped clean once he graduates. Good luck for alumni meets and convocations :) :P

Credits TO- I prefer to keep contributors of the task anonymous.... but wont miss the opportunity to say THUMPS UP to all of them  :D

PS- Don't you dare try it on me, you will be dropped dead before you know it ....:P

VALENTINE WEEK

After literally watching every one celebrating around, initially i was unable to figure out how a single like me should go and enjoy myself, then suddenly this idea of watching a light hearted romantic comedy 'Ek mai or ek Tu' with my sisters popped in my mind. And trust me nothing can be better than enjoying SINGLEHOOD WITH SISTERHOOD.... haha now thats our anthem..... u can never pass comments nor can stare while your bf/gf hovering around ...whistling or hooting  while watching a movie seems even a more distant case ( no gender discrimination.....girls are no less these days...hehe...atleast not us.)

With this popped another idea. Why not to prepare a list of some movies, few beautifully captured couples and some nice songs from the same category for my blog. Just in case If You missed something,
So if you happen to be single this week..be thankful enough....lots of options to surf around.... plus finances.

( list is random.... i wasn't able to prioritize any....)

  • Socha Na Tha

Written and directed by Imtiaz Ali...yes the director and writer of famous movies like Jab v met, Love ajj kal, Rock on... some how 'socha na tha' didnt manage to receive that publicity.. rated 7.6 by IMDb. Socha na tha is a surely fun to watch. If you haven't watched it till now you are surely missing something.
The script is good, and the dialogues are nice. The music includes light hummable songs which are choreographed well.

  • Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

I dont know why but i love this scene, wish if every guy can show maturity like that. India will be certainly a better place to live then. I cant find complete scene on you tube. Please do check the complete scene.
  • Prison Break

Ya i know genre is action and crime, but somehow i managed to adore the chemistry of Wentworth and Sarah. They are hardly together in the whole series, but at the back of the mind they both know they are there for each other, even if they say it or not. More than enough to feel secure.

  •  A A Thousand Year  Thousand Years

After 'Jar of Hearts'.... Christina Perri again surprised me with her amazing depth of singing. As an addition to her singing is the video.... all those candles and tint in the background is making it way too appealing.

  • Wake Up Sid

For some unknown reason i love this movie. Its not just about finding and falling in  love with a stranger turned friend but more about finding yourself.

  • Twilight

Now no matter how disappointed i may seem with the story line. One thing always ask me to catch the movie is there never dying romance and passion. Plus Bella's lullaby is such a delight to hear.
If that sort of world exist in vampires world....i wont mind having vampires around. hehe...:P

  • Taylor Swift

When it comes to lovey dovey songs, she has it all. You can listen to her on any occasion either be it your break up or new crush. She has a song for literally every phase of your love life.

  • Letters to Juliet , 27 Dresses, Confessions of a Shopaholic

CUTE, ROMANTIC, GIRLY AND SILLY.....that how i will describe all of them. Don't be surprised if you hear the famous 'love story' by Taylor Swift in the background of letters to juliet, well it was written for the same movie.

  • Sad Romance

Whenever i listen to this one..... It tells me one long lost story. And its so beautiful, beyond words can interpret.

  • The Painted Veil

After my friend recommendation about the movie on her blog, I watched this one. Impact is yet not gone. It is truly said you not always required to be together to remain in love. Like Titanic it has a tragic ending but then i will rank it upper than titanic for sure.

  • Tu Bin Bataye

This one is from the movie rang de basanti. With romance it has an essence of friendship.

Will keep adding as things will strike....:) For now enjoy....:)

Waiting for the ELEVATOR?

Bored with your monotonous life?

Well here is quick interesting replay, which you will surely like to retry if you want to enjoy a hearty laugh with your friend just like I did today.

Finally by 8 pm your busy schedule of the day ends and you approach towards the lift of the 10th floor. The earlier you want to get back home, longer the queue waits ahead of you, making sure you don’t get into the lift before its second round trip.

That’s when one mischievous smile of your friend brings back glee in your eyes. You grasp each other’s hand firmly, while taking care of the notes in the other hand. Quietly shifting towards the stair so that no one notices, soon enough you become out of sight for all others and you start running along the stairs. Every other floor you reach, you take a casual walk towards the lift, run your eyes to make sure no one is around as if you are on a secret mission, you press the button for the lift and again the chase for another floor continue via stairs till you reach the basement…… laughing hysterically how everyone else is still stuck in the lift just because lift waited on each floor for the ones who are already walking out of the building. We were the last standing in the queue but were the first ones to walk out with smiling pretty faces.  :D

(sadistic us…hehe)

PS- Neha Garg we are crazy and insane…:P

Ice Skating

As temperature continue to drop across the country, all I want to do is to roll down under my blanket (lazy me :D). In fact, I won’t mind a hot cup of coffee and some great movies.

But just in case if you already bored doing the same and want to experience little adventure this season. How about ICE SKATING???

Don’t you love watching all those spins, jumps and footwork of ice skaters on your television sets????
All of that poise and elegance?

Well if the answer is yes to all above question… then my friend you are well on time….. Because every year ice skating club of Shimla organizes the “ICE SKATING CARNIVAL”, which usually begins in the start of December and goes on till the end of February. Shimla has the largest ice skating rink in South Asia. It is also the only natural ice skating rink of India.

The cold weather and clear skies make sure that people have undisturbed sessions of ice-skating. The sessions take place every day, twice a day in morning and evening. The rink also provides membership on short and long term basis. Basic equipments like skates, cap, kneepads etc. are available at the rink. The place comes alive with festivities, feasts, carnivals and colorful fancy dress competitions for children.

It is the time to enjoy the cold weather and indulge in not just sports but also sinful hogging!

PS- As i was recently updated by my frnd.. if u cant take a trip to shimla (like me) and happen to be living or coming to Delhi.... then you will be glad to knw recently iSKATE was inaugurated in Ambience mall, Gurgaon. You can sign up for a five-week course (which includes once-a-week, half-hour sessions in a group with an instructor and one-and-a-half hours on the rink) for Rs2,500. A 2-hour session on the rink (minus lessons) costs Rs300 on weekdays and Rs400 on weekends and includes ice skates. For children, you can hire a penguin-shaped skating aid for an additional Rs150.
